The Digital Seed Vault Standalone Edition is a seed stock database mainly developed for researchers in the plant sciences. It can also be used by people who handle a lot of different seeds, e.g. garden enthusiasts, seed breeders or seed producers.
Some of the features that the database software contains:
- PHP-based with PHP-GTK GUI
- SQLITE-based database backend
- Multiple storage containers
- Multiple different species with freedom to include subspecies, cultivars or lines.
The Digital Seed Vault is released under the open source GNU General Public License version 3 (GPL).
